Some telematics providers may not be seeing certain bits of driver data on the smart tachographs. This is
because drivers have the option to choose not to publish the ITS and VDO data from the Tachograph, when they first put their driver card in.
The screens below show what the drivers will be asked:
How a driver can change the setting to enable the data to be transmitted:
If the driver does request for the data not to be published and then would like to change this (or vice versa), it is possible to go into the tachograph and update the settings. The following steps would need to be followed.
A. The driver needs to click ‘OK’ on the main screen to go into the menu options, then scroll down using the
arrow buttons to driver entry:
B. The driver presses ‘OK’ on the driver entry and scroll down using the arrow buttons to the settings:
C. The driver presses ‘OK’ on the driver settings and you will find both the publish ITS and publish VDO
data options:
D. The driver presses ‘OK‘ on which one needs to be changed. If both need, changing then both will need to
be changed seperately. The driver will see their original choice from when they first enetered their driver
card pre-loaded. The driver will need to use the arrow buttons to change their decision.
E. Once the driver has amended their choice, they press ’OK‘ and the tachograph will confirm their entry has been stored:
